Music, animals, rides, thrill shows: the Monmouth County Fair is here!

Taking place through Sunday at East Freehold Showgrounds in Freehold, there will be 4-H exhibits, the Home & Garden Competition, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Bwana Jim’s Wildlife Show, Hell on Wheels BMX Stunt Show, The Motorcycle Madness Thrill Show, Ready GO Dog Show, crafters, food and vendors.

Rides include the Sky Flyer and Century Wheel. There’s also a separate Kids Zone with a Mini Wave Swinger and more. Take a look at the video above for what was the biggest draw at the fair a few years ago.

Ride wristbands are available daily and allow fairgoers to enjoy unlimited rides on any one day. Wristbands are $25 on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, $30 on Friday and Saturday. Single ride tickets also will be available daily. Rides are weather permitting.

Remember Jones and the Motor City Revue perform two shows at the fair Saturday night. Remember Jones is shown performing in 2018 at the Light of Day festival in Asbury Park.

There’s a different band on the main stage every day: Wednesday features The Big House Band at 8 and 9:30 p.m.; Shore Thing performs at 8 and 9:15 p.m. Thursday; After the Reign is at 8:30 and 10:15 p.m. Friday; Remember Jones and The Motor City Revue play Motown’s best at 8:30 and 10 p.m. Saturday; and The Last Whippoorwill is at noon and 2 p.m. Sunday.
